General Information:

Year End Locker Clean Out Recycling

Today we will have our 2nd floor Year End Locker Clean out.  Please be sure that you are recycling paper in the recycling bins.  Any products that can be reused should be placed in the boxes, such as unopened paper, binders, books, pens, pencils and calculators. NHS students are to report to the library when Mr. Johnson calls for you at the beginning of DEAR time.

Last Day of School: This is the last day of regularly scheduled classes. Mrs. Monson has nothing else to announce for the year.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Monson in room 216S. 

Clubs:

Key Club’s end of the year celebration will take place this Friday after finals in room 240 N. We will be having lunch and announcing next year’s officers.  See you there!

Sports:

There will be a Volleyball meeting on Friday, May 25th at 3:15 PM in Gym A classroom for any girl wishing to go out for Volleyball next year.

 Attention girls interested in bowling for next year: if you missed the meeting please stop in the girls locker room and see Mrs. Krack in her office before and after school.

General Information:

Attention all students: today and tomorrow we will have our End of the Year Recycling Locker Clean Out.  Today we will have an organized locker cleanout time during DEAR time.  National Honor Society students, you should receive instructions in the form of a flyer.  You will have a designated time and location to work. 

Students we are looking to collect unused or lightly used items such as pens/pencil packs, paper, and binders to be used by the staff for next year.  We will have recycling bids and trash bins for other items.  There will be NHS students in the hallways to help you if you have questions.  Please work quickly and QUIETLY!! Thanks for your efforts to help us reduce and reuse.

Information about the panther Player informal Awards night will be posted on the window of Mr. Hankse’s room and the door of the auditorium.

Clubs:

Looking to blow off some steam after finals, then the 9th Annual Lettermen’s Club Sand Volleyball Tournament is just for you.  The tournament is Tuesday May 29th at 1:00 PM.  Teams consist of 8 players two of which have to be girls.  Cost per team is $30 and the deadline to register is Friday May 25th.  Informational Packets can be picked up in Mr. King’s room, 161 W.

 Cross Country: There will be a short cross country meeting immediately after school for any boys or girls interested in running cross country. The meeting will be in coach Boore’s classroom located in the Area career Center. If you’re not able to attend please see Coach Boore in room 187V for details.

Congratulations to the Prom Court! The UTHS Princess was Amanda Stone and Prince Sydney Simon. The King and Queen were Aaron Borodychuk and Ariel Beverly. Thank you to all who came to the prom and the staff for their help. Thank you to the Prom committee for all their hard work.

UT Vocal Jazz end of the year party will be Tuesday, May 22nd, after school in the choir room.  Come check the bulletin board and sign up to bring something on the list and also make sure you’ve voted for Outstanding Jazz Vocalist.

Criteria for Essay 

1.            The essay must include your involvement in the 2012-2013 council activities (last year).

2.            Thoughts about what you would do to improve the council.

3.            Using 5 of your personality traits that would be beneficial to the council.

Essays must be submitted by Wednesday, May 16 (3:00 p.m.) to Bob Feller Executive Council platforms and elections will be held on Friday, May 18th   at 7:30 a.m. in the auditorium.

General Information:

The United Township High School Music Department will present the Spring Band Concert on Thursday, May 17th, at 7pm, in the UT Auditorium.  This is Senior Recognition Night and Concert Band and Symphonic Band will perform highlights such as Angels in the Architecture, by Frank Tichelli, and Chillers and Thrillers, by John Williams.  Admission is free and the public is welcome.

Tonight at 7 PM and Tomorrow at 2 in the afternoon are your last to chances to come laugh with Panther Players by watching the Spring Play: The Birds!!! Student tickets are only 3 dollars, and Mr. Hanske will give you extra credit in your English and Calculus classes!!!

Prom: Today we will be announcing the Prom Court at the beginning of 6th hour.  Stay tuned!
