Attention students and staff: Picture retake and make-up day is November 7th from 7:30-1:15 in the auditorium. Seniors who were unable to go to the studio for senior portraits will also be able to take yearbook pictures at that time. 3rd Quarter Driver Education “Blue Information Sheet” Pick Up
Attention 3rd Qtr. 2018 Driver Education Students who have successfully completed Classroom and Behind the Wheel you can pick up your “Blue Information Sheet” in the General Office “After School” Friday October 19th.
Have you ever wanted to hike through lush jungle forests and then snorkel in the Caribbean? What about learn about indigenous Mayan cultures? Zip lining through the jungle? Visiting a hot sauce factory? Or even Cave Tubing?? If so, please consider Discovering Belize in June of 2020. There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in being in the cast, crew, or tech for the winter play, Almost Maine, in room 128E after school on Wednesday, October 24th. If you can’t make it to the meeting, please see Ms. Ahuja before or after school sometime this week for more information about auditions and crew schedule.
Orange Leaf has a Student Hunger Drive Fundraiser until October 21st. Go in and buy some frozen yogurt. Before you leave please drop off your receipt in the UT box. The winning school will receive 10% of the school’s earnings.
Big Yellow Bus Flyer Distribution is happening on the 21st from 11am to 1pm. Sign-ups will be held at the Student Council meeting on Friday.
The Student Variety Show will have sign-ups in the general office. If you are interested put your name down. Sign-ups will go until this Friday. The show will be on October 30th from 7pm to 9pm. It will be 5 cans or $3 to enter.
For every 100 cans that you bring in you will get put into the Heavy-Weight Champions Drawing for an IPad at the Hunger Drive Assembly.
If you bring in 20 cans the morning of October 29th, the late-start, you will get the official 2018 Student Hunger Drive t-shirt.

If there are any senior students needing help on the FAFSA or college applications, we have some upcoming opportunities at UT in the library computer lab. On Tuesday, October 23rd, from 3 to 5pm there will be a FAFSA workshop. Parents are welcome to attend as well. On Thursday, October 25th from 8:30 to 11am there is a college application workshop. You may want to bring a credit or debit card to pay for the applications on site. For questions, see your counselor. To sign up and get more information, stop in to see Holly Schneider in Room 157N.
