Carnation sales start today during all lunches and continue until tomorrow. The table will be set up out in front of the cafeteria. If there are any carnations left over, we will sale them on Wednesday. They cost $1 each and you can send appropriate messages with your carnation.
On Valentine’s Day the library will be hosting a very special event during the final 25 minutes of each lunch period.
Heartbeats and Worldbeats will feature students of Mr. W’s World Drumming class and students who register to read their poetry out loud.
Tickets are available before and after school in the library.

This year’s musical, Thoroughly Modern Mille, will have auditions Tuesday, February 20th and Wednesday, February 21st.
Thoroughly Modern Millie follows Millie Dillmount as she moves from Kansas to the Big Apple. Her goal is to find a rich man to marry, but fate has something else in store. Filled with fun, great dancing, high energy, and a very active male and female ensemble, Thoroughly Modern Millie is a wonderful time! We hope to see you all at the informational meeting tomorrow at 5!”
1. Tri-M Music Honor Society will meet tomorrow morning, Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 7:30am, to finalize Glenview Rehearseathon and our own QC Open Content.
2. If any UT students are needing volunteer hours, please consider volunteering for the QC Open Solo & Ensemble Music contest that we are hosting here at UT on Saturday, March 3. See Mrs. Minard to sign up. Students can earn 1- 8 hours per person.

French club is hosting a Mardi Gras celebration in room 250N on Tuesday, Feb. 13th before school at 7:30 a.m. Stop by the French room and sign-up. There will be mask making for those interested. Come celebrate Fat Tuesday with us!

The Girls Bowling Team fell short this past weekend at Sectionals and didn’t make it as a team back to State. Sky Stoutt was able to qualify individually and will be the only area qualifier this year. Congratulations to Ashlyn Burkeybile, Jalyn Traynham, Coralyn Bell and Kiersten Henderson on their great season and helping the bowling team to another successful year. Special thanks to Hailey Hart for her hard work and assistance to the team.
The UTHS Panther Boys Swim Team finished in third place at the Western Big Six Conference Championships at UTHS. The Panthers just fell short of second by 14 points to Galesburg (252-238). Everyone was well behind the winner Moline who tallied 344 points. Rock Island finished fourth with 193. Leading the way with top six performances were:
