UT will be participating in the 22th annual US Marine Corps Toys For Tots and Winter clothing drive for “The Oasis.” This year over 3,800 families have registered for assistance, which translates to over 10,000 children who would not have a toy under the tree without your gracious donations. You can help one of these less fortunate children by donating a new unwrapped toy; simply drop it off in Mr. Burklund’s room at 259N or in the General Office before Thursday December 7th. Two evening field trips open to all UT students to the Toys For Tots Distribution Center are planned for Thursday November 30th and Thursday December 7th, but space is limited to only 25 students per night; pick up permission slips in 259 north. The biggest demand is for toys for preteen 10-12 boys and girls. If you know of a family who may be in need help this Christmas they will need to register at the Toys For Tots Distribution Center which is in Cumberland Square in Bettendorf, registration ends December 2nd.
