Homecoming is around the corner. Students that plan on bringing a guest or date to the 2024 Homecoming dance from another school must fill out a dance request form. The forms are located in Students Services and must be turned in no later than Tuesday, October 1st.

Attention Seniors and Senior Parents/Guardians: Senior Baby ads are now available for purchase for the 2024-25 yearbook. The cost is $30 per section. Order forms are available in the General Office, in Mrs. Green and Mrs. Gorgal's room (126E) and on the UTHS website. The deadline for reserving a senior section is November 8, 2024.  

The deadline to preorder the 2024-25 yearbook is December 13, 2024. The cost of a preordered yearbook is $50. The cost then increases to $60 for any yearbooks purchased thereafter. Yearbooks may be purchased at uths.net or in the General Office. Please DO NOT purchase yearbooks through the REV TRAK process. 

Good morning, Panthers! Picture retake and make-up day is scheduled for October 30. Please note the date in your planners. Students will not be escorted by their English teachers and are expected to visit the auditorium on their own time for the picture session.

Powder Puff is Wednesday October 2nd at the Panther Pitch. Doors open at 6:30pm and Games start at 7pm. You can stop by the General Office to sign up. Please ask for Deb or Irma.

CLUBS:

There will be a student council meeting this Friday at 7:30 am in room 109S! Come join us to discuss homecoming and volunteer opportunities!

There will be a Foster’s voice meeting this Thursday at 7 am in the auditorium! We will be finishing the project & making posters for the rest of Suicide Prevention Month! Bring a friend and grab a donut!

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have a meeting next Tuesday, September 17th at 7 am in Gym A. We will hear more about the book of John from our leader Parker! Bring a friend and enjoy a snack! See you there!

Attention All Tri-M members: We will have a regular membership meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30am in the Choir Room. We'll be discussing results of our survey and beginning Music Bingo Night plans. See you there

GUIDANCE:

Attention: UTHS Seniors interested in attending Western Illinois
University after graduation. UTHS, in collaboration with WIU - QC Campus, is sponsoring a Field Trip to the WIU - QC campus on Friday, October 18. Bus transportation will
be provided. Students will participate in a morning program that will include a tour
of the QC campus, meet with admissions, financial aid, and student
services representatives. The Field Trip will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end
at 12:00 p.m., and include lunch. Students will return to UTHS
thereafter. Interested students should sign up in the Guidance Office. The cut-off
date for sign-up is the end of school day, Friday, October 4, 2024.
If you have questions, see Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor. Mr.
Davis’s office is located in the UT Center area, just north of the school
library.

"Black Hawk College will be at UTHS this morning.  The college representative, Ms. Maya Davis will meet with students in the Center Conference Room from 10 to 11.  Interested students are encouraged to sign up in the Guidance Office.  If you want to learn more about what is available at Black Hawk College, do not miss this opportunity."

"Students, the United States Marine Corps will be at UT today.  The Marine Corps has many career opportunities that will change your life.  The representative will be in the Commons during ALL lunch periods.  Visit with the representative to see how you can go to college for free, learn a job skill, retire in 20 years, and find out how the GI Bill can benefit you and your family."  

SPORTS:

Attention Girls that are interested or plan on bowling the 24 – 25 season: There will be an organizational meeting on Thursday September 12th at 3:10pm in the Commons to pass out important information. The meeting will last approximately 20 minutes. If you are unable to make the meeting, please email Coach Krack at skrack@uths.net.
