Opening of School 2023-2024
Good evening UTHS families.
The 2023-2024 school year is almost upon us. This call has a myriad of information regarding the opening of school.
There are two portions of registration for the upcoming school year; online and in-person. Online registration is currently open. In-person registration is this Wednesday and Thursday, that's July 26th and 27th from noon to 6 PM. Both online and in-person registration are required. Everyone is encouraged to complete online registration prior to in-person registration. However, we will have an online assistance station this Wednesday and Thursday at in-person registration. We ask that families park in the west student parking lot and enter door "F" for registration. As you walk the south hall you will see the beginning of the registration process.
At in-person registration families are required to fill out a residency document. The document is lengthy, so families are encouraged to print and fill out the document prior to arriving at in-person registration. The document can be found at www.uths.net by clicking on "registration". We will have blank copies at registration if you cannot complete it prior to arriving. Additionally, all freshman and students new to the district will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate.
At in-person registration we will have school and athletic physicals, as well as immunizations available through our nurse's office. Physicals have a cost of $10. Physicals and immunizations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wednesday, August 2nd will be the first day of school for freshman students. Buses will run at their regularly scheduled time both before and after school. Dismissal will occur at approximately 12:35.
Thursday, August 3rd all students will attend. In the evening of Thursday, August 3rd we will have Freshman Welcome Night from 5:30-8:30 PM. Attendance is required for the Class of 2027 and their parents. We will begin the evening in the auditorium followed by an activity fair. Families will then have the opportunity to get information on specific school programs and meet their student's teachers.
