A reminder that vandalism to the bathrooms will not be tolerated. If need be, administration will start to close bathrooms for an extended period of time. This will cause a significant inconvenience for others. If you see anyone vandalizing school property, you can report it to an adult or use the P3 app. This also includes vaping in the restrooms as well. Thank you for your cooperation.
Administration.  

1. If you have not received your 2023 yearbook, please stop by the General Office at your earliest convenience to pick it up.

2. Picture Day is around the corner. Mark these dates on your calendar so you are picture ready on your scheduled day. Monday, September 11 is for Seniors, UTEC, and Remote students. Tuesday, September 12 is for Juniors and Sophomores. Wednesday, September 13 is for Freshmen. Faculty and Staff may stop by either of the three days for their picture session. Pictures will be taken in the auditorium during English classes. Seniors who DO NOT have an English class this semester can visit the auditorium anytime between 7:30am and 3:00pm on Monday the 11th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Green in 126E.

GUIDANCE:

Attention all Seniors: UT will be offering the SAT on October 11 th. This is optional for all seniors. If you would like to take the SAT, please sign up in the counseling office. The deadline for signups is August 25 th.

Attention all Juniors: UT will be offering the National Merit Scholarship Qualification Test on October 11 th. This is optional for all juniors. All juniors in American studies will sign up with their teacher. All other juniors who would like to take the test please sign up in the counseling office. The deadline for signups is August 25 th. See Mrs. Whitcher in the counseling office if you have any questions.

College Visits are back! Sign up in the counseling office to speak with college representatives. 

Midwest Technical Institute (MTI) - August 24th - 3rd Period
Army National Guard - August 30th - 3rd Period
St. Ambrose University - September 20th - 3rd Period
Blackburn College - October 10th - 2nd Period
Augustana College - October 23rd - 3rd Period

CLUBS:

National Honor Society will be holding its first meeting of the year on Wednesday the 16th.  It is a mandatory meeting for all returning and newly inducted members of NHS, so we hope to see you there at 7:30am in room 220 East.  See Mr. Lambrecht if you have questions.

"Permission slips for this year's Broadway in Chicago field trip are now available. On Wednesday, November 15th, we will head to Chicago to see the national tour of Beetlejuice. Based on the classic movie, this show is a riot! All Panther Players (even those who cannot participate in the fall play) are eligible to attend. However, hurry! There are a limited number of tickets. See Mr. Greer in 224E to grab a slip and get more information."

FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, invites you to its kick off huddle this Tuesday, August 15th at 7am in 151 North.
Come learn about FCA, how huddles are a place to have fun and grow in the Christian faith with friends old and new, and how Fellowship of Christian Athletes focuses on integrity, service, teamwork, and excellence. See Mrs. Mital in 151N with any questions.
