“ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS, STARTING THIS YEAR, IF YOU ARE WANTING TO BRING AN OUT OF DISTRICT PERSON TO A DANCE, THEN YOU MUST FILL OUT A DANCE FORM.  THESE WILL BE LOCATED AT THE TICKET SALES TABLE AND/OR STUDENT SERVICE OFFICE.  IF YOU DO NOT FILL A FORM OUT AND GET IT TURNED IN 3 DAYS BEFORE THE DANCE DATE, THEN THEY WILL BE TURNED AWAY AT THE DOOR.*

Picture Day is around the corner. Mark these dates on your calendar so you are picture ready on your scheduled day. Monday, September 11 is for Seniors, UTEC, and Remote students. Tuesday, September 12 is for Juniors and Sophomores. Wednesday, September 13 is for Freshmen. Faculty and Staff may stop by either of the three days for their picture session. Photographic Arts will be at UTEC for UTEC and Remote students and staff. All other pictures will be taken in the UT auditorium during English classes. Seniors who DO NOT have an English class this semester can visit the auditorium anytime between 7:30am and 3:00pm on Monday the 11th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Green in 126E.

Have you ordered your 2023-24 Skyline Vol 81 yet? If not, you have until December 11 to preorder your copy of the annual keepsake. Yearbooks may be purchased in the General Office or online for $50. Checks, cash, and credit are accepted. The cost of books increases to $60 if purchased AFTER December 11. There will be a limited supply of extra books on delivery day, so get those books ordered ASAP to ensure you get your copy. You don't want to miss out!

College Visits are back! Sign up in the counseling office to speak with college representatives.

Northern Illinois University - September 28th - 3rd Period

CLUBS:

Do you have a feel for the news and events that are important to UT students? Join The Outlook Club as we start up The Panther Post, a UT-specific newspaper that covers a variety of events and gives students a voice on news and issues. Anyone who is interested in contributing stories and/or helping with layout, design, ideas, proofing, etc. should join our first meeting Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 3:15 in room 123E.

"Attention all students interested in joining E-sports this school year.  Our opening meeting will be after school, today Tuesday, September 5 in Room 204 South.  Students need to go to the counselors’ office to fill out a permission form before attending the meeting."

Do these things sound interesting or fun? Then maybe the STEM Club is the club for you.  Come do these and other exciting things with Mr. LeGate and Mr. DuPage in room 192V.  That is the classroom in the vocational wing where all the magic happens. Our first meeting will be on September 7th in room 192V. Come enjoy the hour of power Every Monday and Thursday from 3:15 to 4:15. Are you involved in sports and can’t make it?  That fine, come join us after your season is over. We will be doing strange and interesting stuff all year long. Hope to see you there Sept. 7th in room 192V.

Are you a fan of Art?
If you are interested in Learning how to be a better artist, just interested in new art techniques, want to know more about art or want to hang out with a bunch of just awesome people and a really cool teacher you should come to our first meeting today  Tuesday September 5th in room 187V.  This year we will discuss painting, sculpture, drawing and even stained glass.  If you are interested or have, any questions contact Mrs. Jackson 

SPORTS:

Attention Girls that are interested or plan on bowling the 23 – 24 season: There will be an
organizational meeting today Wednesday, September 6 at 3:10pm in the Commons. The
meeting will last approximately 20 minutes.

There will be a softball open workout on Wednesday September 6th from 3:30-5pm on the varsity field. Any questions see Coach Alonzo or Coach Tapia.
