 “ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS, STARTING THIS YEAR, IF YOU ARE WANTING TO BRING AN OUT OF DISTRICT PERSON TO A DANCE, THEN YOU MUST FILL OUT A DANCE FORM.  THESE WILL BE LOCATED AT THE TICKET SALES TABLE AND/OR STUDENT SERVICE OFFICE.  IF YOU DO NOT FILL A FORM OUT AND GET IT TURNED IN 3 DAYS BEFORE THE DANCE DATE, THEN THEY WILL BE TURNED AWAY AT THE DOOR.*

Our library program, Read and Win is now underway in the UT Library. Each quarter one lucky reader will receive a $5 gift card. The top readers will be eligible to take an end of the year field trip to North Park Mall for lunch, with a visit to Barnes & Noble to pick out a book for the UT Library. Fill out the online form for each book you read. The more you read - the more chances you have to win! Please stop by the library with any questions or for more information.

GUIDANCE:

College Visits are back! Sign up in the counseling office to speak with college representatives. 
Iowa State - September 19th - 2nd Period
Northern Iowa - September 21st - 2nd Period
Northern Illinois University - September 28th - 3rd Period

Black Hawk College is hosting their 51st Annual College Night on Thursday, September 28. The college fair is being held here at UT from 5:30-7 PM. Students and their families are welcome to attend, no sign up necessary. 

"Attention College Bound Seniors: The FAFSA is an application needed for College, it helps determine eligibility for State and Federal Financial Aid. FAFSA help will be available starting every Thursday after fall break. Sign up in the Counseling Office!"

CLUBS:

UT Vocal Jazz will start next week. Auditions are being held Thursday, Sept. 21; sign up for a time and pick up music with Mrs. Minard in the Choir Room. There are two song excerpts to learn for auditions that will be taught Wednesday, Sept. 13 before and after school. Meet in the Choir room at 7:15am and/or 3:15pm to practice the excerpts.

SPORTS:

Yesterday Special Olympics Bowling competed in the region F bowling.
Congratulations to the first place bowlers will be advancing to sectionals November 5.
