Have you ever thought about zip lining through the rainforest, seeing sloths and monkeys in real life, or strolling along some of the most beautiful beaches in the world? Well then, we have a trip for you! Come and learn about a trip to Costa Rica and Panama happening in the summer of 2025. There will be an informational meeting today December 14 at 5:00 in 259 N. See Ms. Ripslinger in 259N for more information. 

CLUBS:

The December issue of The Panther Post is out! Student articles include opinions, UT news, and reviews of movies and restaurants. Copies can be found in the library, the cafeteria, the commons, and the front office.

Student Council will be collecting Hats and Mittens outside the auditorium on December 15 starting at 7:15 am. Come stop by with a donation to get a cup of tasty hot chocolate to start your morning off right.

Mark your calendars! UT will be hosting a dance marathon on January 13 to raise funds for the University of Iowa children’s hospital! If you are interested in a night full of fun for a good cause, keep an eye out for more information in the next few weeks.

GUIDANCE:

There is a new scholarship added for seniors planning to attend Black Hawk College. Check out the updated list and look for the Moline Regional Community Foundation scholarship if you plan to attend Black Hawk. 

SPORTS:

"There will be a mandatory informational meeting for students interested in joining the boy’s track and field team after school today Thursday, December 14th in the Commons.  In season athletes should talk to Coach H. in room 234 to get information for joining the Google Classroom."

For any girls interested in girls track: There are flyers posted around school with a QR code to sign up. The first day of practice is January 16; see Coach Larson in 242N if you have any questions.

"The Girls Varsity continued their winning ways against Galesburg yesterday to move to 4 - 0 on the season. Top bowlers were Kloey Miner and Rilynn Birdsley. The JV bowlers were also able to get the win yesterday. Top bowlers were: Ava Kapua and Camila Salinas-Adame."
