ACC Career Day
Attention Sophomore Students. On Wednesday, January 17th, All Sophomore students will be participating in the Area Career Center’s Annual Sophomore Career Day.
Sophomores who have PE, Driver Education, or Health periods 1-5 and 7-8, are reminded to report to Gym A during their regularly scheduled class.
Sophomores who have PE, Driver’s Education, or Health period 6 will receive a pass to attend the Career Day, during their normally scheduled lunch, either 4th or 5th period, and then take lunch during 6th period.

CLUBS:

The dance marathon this Saturday has been postponed due to the predicted weather. Look out for a new date to be announced soon!
There will be a foster’s voice meeting this Thursday in gym A at 7 am. Join us to start third quarter with mental health and suicide awareness. Bring a friend and grab a donut!

GUIDANCE:

There is a new scholarship added for seniors planning to attend Black Hawk College. Check out the updated list and look for the Moline Regional Community Foundation scholarship if you plan to attend Black Hawk. 

Students, a representative from Grand Canyon University will be visiting UT tomorrow morning, January 11 from 10:00 to 11:00 in the new UT Center Conference Room.  Students wanting to know more about Grand Canyon University should sign up in the Guidance Office to attend the college visit.

 "The Illinois Student Assistance Commission will resume FAFSA meetings from 9 to 11:30 am on Thursdays beginning January 11.  Students wanting information on FAFSA should sign up in the Guidance Office."

Good morning, UTHS students. Our next webinar in our FREE College planning series will be held this evening, Wednesday, January 10 from 8:00-9:00.  The event will take place virtually over Zoom.
Webinar description: The financial aid system can seem scary.  However, navigating it is easier than most people think if you know how it works.  This webinar will explain everything you need to know about the new FAFSA and how to make the financial aid system work for you - instead of the other way around.
This webinar will be translated into Spanish, French, Arabic, and Hakha Chin. If you are unavailable to watch the webinar live, the link for the recording will be posted afterward.
You must register in advance for this meeting.  Please check your student email for the link to register.
