"It's that time of the year! The informational meeting for this year's musical, Beauty and the Beast, will be Wednesday, January 31st at 3:15 in the auditorium. A tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast is a showstopper of a musical that requires strong actors and actresses, designers, technicians, builders, crew, and musicians. We encourage anyone/everyone to audition for a role or apply for a position regardless of your theater background or training. Come join us on the 31st to learn how you can be involved in this massive production!"

 CLUBS:

STEM Club will be meeting in Mr. LeGate's Room 185V this afternoon.  Stem club is in room 185V.

There will be a student council meeting tomorrow, January 26th, at 7:30 in the auditorium! Come join us to help plan Sadie’s, dance marathon, and more!

GUIDANCE: "

Students interested in finding out information on the Illowa Sheet Metal Workers Apprenticeship Program should contact Ms. Drish in the Guidance Office or Ms. Hoffman in the Area Career Center. Application deadline is February 29, 2024.  Students who submit a completed application by the deadline will be scheduled to take an aptitude test.   

Applications must be completed online.

Applicants must be: 

  • 18 years old at the start of the apprenticeship program,                                                               
  • A high school graduate or hold a GED certificate, and                                     
  • Provide a copy of their HS transcript or GED certificate

 Students do not forget to visit Google Classroom where you will see an array of scholarship opportunities." 

"The Illinois Student Assistance Commission representative will be at UT this morning from 9 - 11:30.  Students who need to get started on completing the new FAFSA form or simply acquire general information on FAFSA should sign up in the Guidance Office to attend."

There is a new scholarship added for seniors planning to attend Black Hawk College. Check out the updated list and look for the Moline Regional Community Foundation scholarship if you plan to attend Black Hawk. 

 Seniors - many new scholarships have been added. Please check the counseling classroom or office for a list. Remember the Quad Cities Community Foundation Scholarships are due February 15th. See Mrs. Drish if you have any questions. 

 SPORTS:

 "Congratulations Seniors! Thanks for everything you have brought to the program! The Varsity bowlers beat Moline tonight. Katie Fox led all bowlers with a fantastic 707. Other top performances were turned in by Kloey Miner and Aniya Harris. Varsity is 9 -1 in their dual meet season matches.

The JV also topped Moline. They are also 9 -1. Top bowlers were Cortnee McBride and Haven Nowlin."
