ATTENTION SENIORS!  Diploma names have been posted outside of the General Office for you to review.  Please stop by and make sure your name is correct.  If you need to make a change please write the correction next to your name by this Friday, February 3rd.

Attention Juniors: If you are interested in being a member of the 2024 Prom Planning Committee, please sign up with Ellen in the Student Store located in the Commons or with Mrs. Green and Mrs. Gorgal in 126E by Friday, February 2. We're looking for creative, flexible, dependable juniors who enjoy working with a group to plan and execute the best prom EVER! Our first meeting will be next week. Come see us soon. 

Interested in a trip to Costa Rica and Panama?  We will have another meeting Thursday, February 8th at 6:30 p.m. in room 259 N.  Please come and get more information!

"Audition information and crew applications for this year's musical, Beauty and the Beast, are live! All information can be found on the musical website located in the Panther Players Google Classroom. Not in the Google Classroom? Use the code outside 224E and join. All applications (both cast and crew) are due by Monday, February 5th at noon. Auditions will be scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday with necessary callbacks on Thursday. Be sure to ask Mr. Greer if you have any questions. We look forward to working with you!"

GUIDANCE:

Students interested in finding out information on Metal Workers Apprenticeship Program should contact Ms. Drish in the Guidance Office or Ms. Hoffman in the Area Career Center. Application deadline is February 29, 2024.  Students who submit a completed application by the deadline will be scheduled to take an aptitude test.   Applications must be completed online.
Applicants must be: 
1) 18 years old at the start of the apprenticeship program,                                                               
2) A high school graduate or hold a GED certificate, and                                      
3) Provide a copy of their HS transcript or GED certificate

UTHS is offering free SAT test preparation seminars to all Juniors through Zaps.  The seminars will be held in the commons on Monday, March 11th from 9am-3 pm or Monday and Tuesday March 25th and 26th from 6:30pm to 9:00pm both days.  Sign up in the counseling office through the end of February. 

Are you a college-bound senior? Do you have questions or need help figuring out how to pay for college? UTHS has 2 events coming up next week that might help you.
Monday, February 5 from 5-7 PM in the UT Library is our FAFSA Night. Come get help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. For more information about what documents and information, you need to bring, visit uths.net.
Wednesday, February 7 from 8-9 PM is the next free webinar in our series about paying for college. Visit uths.net for more information and the link to register.

"Students, Madeline Schaefer, the ISAC representative, will be at UT this morning from 9:00 - 11:30.  Students needing to complete the FAFSA should sign up in the Guidance Office to meet with Ms. Schaefer.  
The workshop will be held in the UT Center Conference Room.  Remember, students who complete the FAFSA early, are better positioned to receive a bigger portion of available federal, state, and institutional money.  Do NOT put off completing the FAFSA."
