"The speech team competed at the Monmouth-Roseville Regional tournament on Saturday and is the Regional Champion for the third year in a row! Fourteen out of fifteen events placed in either first or second place, and the entire team qualified to advance to Sectionals next week, making this the best Regional performance by the speech team in UT history! Be sure to congratulate our eight Regional Champions: Carly Jackson and Amara Minnaert in Dramatic Duet Acting as well as Special Occasion Speaking and Oratorical Declamation respectively, Salma Martinez in Dramatic Interpretation, Mazah Sherif in Extemporaneous Speaking and Original Oratory, Vivan Bornhoeft in Impromptu Speaking, and the Performance in the Round cast and crew. Cheer the 

"Attention anyone interested in participating in the musical! Cast and crew applications will be accepted until 3:15 today... This is a change from before! We encourage anyone and everyone to join us as we bring the magical tale of Beauty and the Beast to life! Have questions? Speak to Mr. Greer in 224E. Audition assignments will be sent out by email tonight, so those auditioning should check their emails by 6!"

The first Prom Committee meeting will be Wednesday, February 7 at 7:30am in 126E. If you are unable to attend, see Mrs. Green, Mrs. Gorgal or Ellen for the meeting details.

CLUBS:

There will be a Student Council meeting this Friday at 7:30 am in the auditorium! Come join us to plan Sadies and the Dance Marathon as well as hear about polar plunge. We hope to see you there!

GUIDANCE:

UTHS is offering free SAT test preparation seminars to all Juniors through Zaps.  The seminars will be held in the commons on Monday, March 11th from 9am-3 pm or Monday and Tuesday March 25th and 26th from 6:30pm to 9:00pm both days.  Sign up in the counseling office through the end of February. 

Are you a college-bound senior? Do you have questions or need help figuring out how to pay for college? UTHS has 2 events coming up next week that might help you.

Today, Monday, February 5 from 5-7 PM in the UT Library is our FAFSA Night. Come get help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. For more information about what documents and information, you need to bring, visit uths.net.

"The Girls Bowling team used a strong finish to place 3rd overall at Regionals. They are moving on to Sectionals to be held Saturday. Top bowlers were Katie Fox, Kloey Miner and Alicia Limon. Congratulations and Good Luck at Sectionals!"
