Students, did you happen to purchase a copy of last year's yearbook? If you did, you're in luck! The Spring Supplements for last year's yearbook are available for pick-up on, Friday, August 16 during all lunch periods. Please bring your school ID to the Student Store in the Commons to pick up the spring section that completes your yearbook. Hope to see you there!

Picture Day is quickly approaching! Starting Monday, August 19, students will be escorted by their English teachers to the auditorium for their 2024-25 portrait session. After pictures, each student will receive an individualized card with picture viewing and ordering information. Please take your card home!!! The picture schedule is as follows: Freshmen - August 19, Sophomores and Juniors - August 20, UTEC and Remote students - August 21, and Seniors - Thursday, August 22. Seniors who DO NOT have a first semester English class are expected to go to the auditorium, on their own, between the hours of 7:30am-3pm to have their picture taken. "The speech team is ready to begin preparing for the 2024-2025 season, and we are looking for new team members! Your Panther Speech Team achieved a three-peat last year as Regional Champions, and we have advanced competitors to the IHSA State Tournament 7 out of the last 9 years. We focus on your interests, building confidence, and building skills that will be beneficial in real world settings. IHSA speech is composed of 14 events ranging from acting, original writing, prose and poetry reading, creating a radio broadcast, and providing arguments on current events and politics. There really is something for everyone! Come to our informational meeting on Thursday, August 22nd at 3:15 in Mr. Greer's room, 224E to hear more. It is gearing up to be a great season, and we want you to be a part of it!"

CLUBS:

"If you are interested in being a part of the LGBT+ Club here at UT, the club is having their first meeting on Wednesday August 21st right after school in Miss Williams’s room 125E. This club is for any student who is a part of the LGBT+ community, allies, or students who are just looking for a way to get involved and want some good vibes! To find out more info you can go see Miss Williams in room 125E any time or use the QR code on flyers hanging by the water fountains to sign up!"

The first Student Council meeting will be this Friday at 7:30 in Mr. Welch’s room, 109S! We hope to see everyone there to discuss homecoming theme, Stuco Shirts, and more!

GUIDANCE:

"Students, River Bend Animal Clinic is hiring a Kennel Attendant. The ideal student must be 16 years or older. Hours will be after school on weekdays from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. and some weekends from 7:00 a.m. to Noon. Hours may be flexible. $14.00 an hour. If you have any questions or would like to pick up an application, please see Mr. Davis, UT College & Career Advisor."

Attention all Seniors: UT will be offering the SAT on October 7th . This is optional for all seniors. If you would like to take the SAT, please sign up in the counseling office. The deadline for signups is August 16th.
