"Congratulations to the speech team as they battled their way through the two-day Downers Grove South Varsity Invite this past weekend! There were 52+ schools in attendance, and our team held their own. Hazel Alvarado-Dennison broke semifinals in Dramatic Duet Acting and Dramatic Interpretation, Salma Martinez broke semifinals in Dramatic Duet Acting and Dramatic Interpretation, Connor Maess broke semifinals in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Vivian Bornhoeft broke semifinals in Impromptu Speaking and Informative Speaking. Vivian also broke Next-in Finals and placed 11th out of 77 in Informative Speaking. Wish the team luck as we prepare for the State Series in the next two weeks!"
"As mentioned last week, our musical is Anything Goes! We are gearing up for auditions and crew selection in the coming weeks, and the directing staff wants you to be informed of all your options and requirements. A new poster advertising our informational meeting should be posted around the school, on the TVs, the lunch slideshow, and outside Mr. Greer's door (224E). Scan the QR code and take a look at the show website. It has EVERYTHING you need to know about the process. Again, we are looking for a large cast and we need some people with stunt/tumbling experience. Look at the website and join us on February 4th at 3:15 in the auditorium to learn more!"
